Oil Gazing
This process is usually undertaken to remove obstacles with
long history. Follow the instructions for lamp
lighting. Light the sesame oil lamp with five wicks in the morning.
Pour only enough oil to burn for 5 minutes, rest of the space in lamp
is needed for pouring oil after oil gazing.
Take a small metal plate (copper, silver or steel plate) can be
circular ( 4 to 6 inch diameter) or square ( 4 to 6 inches
in length). Pour some sesame oil, just enough to coat the plate as a
thin film. Look into the oil in the plate as if seeing mirror image of
face in the oil film for 3 minutes. Feel all the negative vibrations,
thoughts, energy being absorbed by the oil. Then pour the oil to the
lamp to burn out the oil.
Clean the plate with soap and water for next day use.
